2007 NCTC SHEPHERDSTOWN WEST VIRGINIA REUNION

The 2009 reunion of FWS retirees is set for Region 5

The 2009 FWS Retiree’s reunion will be at:
   THE COLONY HOTEL
 Kennebunkport, Maine
    October  6 – 8, 2009.
Check it out at: http://www.thecolonyhotel.com/maine/about.html

The Colony Hotel

The Colony Hotel is an ocean resort hotel known for its environmental responsibility and for its premier location, location, location.  Further, the April issue of Coastal Living magazine included The Colony in its list of the top 10 coastal eco-resorts. It is spectacularly situated on a rock promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the mouth of the Kennebunk River.  The Colony Hotel is about 90 miles north of Boston; about 28 miles south of Portland.  There is no regular airport shuttle.

The Retiree Association has negotiated a special room rate of $109 per night (single or double, +$30 for a third person in the room) for a garden side room that includes a buffet breakfast).  Ocean side rooms are available for $149.  The special rate is extended to include 3 days before and 3 days after the meeting if you want to do some personal travel.  For leaf-peepers, this is expected to be a good time for Maine.  This special rate is for reservations made before September  6,  2009.  After that date the block of rooms set aside for the Retiree Association reunion will be returned to the hotel and will then be on a if available and at the current rack rate.

Make your reservations early to attend this once in a lifetime event!!  We will keep you informed about the things to do while you are here. And we guarantee that you will have a memorable visit.  Make your reservation before September 6 by calling 207-967-3331, x 699 or 800-552-2363 and be sure to identify yourself as being with the Retired Fish and Wildlife Service  to get the special rate.

The retiree Association will be charging a $75 per person all-inclusive registration fee for the reunion – a registration form is included at the end of this newsletter.  All-inclusive means it will cover the costs for the dinner, icebreaker social (with heavy hors d’oeuvres), breaks, event transportation,  NWR and FWS projects tour to include a sack lunch,  hospitality room, meeting rooms, raffle tickets for early registration (before September 6) and all the other charges so as to make this a really memorable event.  Current Fish & Wildlife Service employees are invited to join us for our fun events.

Your completed registration form and payment should be sent to:
